Ilha do Mel takes its name from a Brazilian island and its character from white flowers. Juniper and gardenia open green and slightly bitter, narcissus and broom deepen the middle, and vanilla, benzoin and iris turn the finish soft and honeyed.
How it wears. Herbal and floral to begin with, edging toward the indolic. As it settles the sweetness rises and the iris adds a powdery smoothness. Spring and summer evenings, and a good choice if you like white florals that aren't sugary.
