Shams Oud Eau de Parfum - Memo Paris
Shams Oud is sun on resin. Pink pepper and ginger open hot and dry, cypriol and cashmeran deepen the middle, and styrax, Peru balsam, vetiver and oud make a base that smells burnt in a deliberate way.
How it wears. Peppery at first, then smoky and increasingly dense. The oud is present but sits inside the balsams rather than dominating. Cold weather, and a good introduction to oud if the heavier versions put you off.
